Platonic Touch Therapy

We. Are. BUSY and our self-care is being overlooked. Human connection is a basic need, and is surprisingly not that easy to find in a city of 8.5 million people. Combine a city that never slows down with this age of rapid technological advancement and our current political climate, and you’ll agree that we are rapidly losing that connection with others. We text in shorthand and send emojis to relay our most intimate thoughts. We’re plugged in to our devices on the street, in the subway, at the gym and even at the grocery store.

If you find yourself saying "YES" to any of the following questions, book a consultation today to learn more about how Platonic Touch Therapy can help you.

*Are you the head of your household, always putting the needs of partner and kids above all else? Do your prioritize your own needs last, or suppress them altogether?

*Do you feel you can't ever let your guard down or fall apart for fear of appearing "weak"?

*Does your overwhelming and time consuming work life keep you from building strong connections in your social circle?

*Did you grow up in a family/environment where platonic, physical affection was discouraged or shamed? Perhaps you were taught to hide or bottle your feelings? Perhaps you were told that your feelings were "wrong"?

*Are you a people pleaser?

*Do you struggle to make new connections with people, causing you to feel isolated and alone?

*Do you ever wish your therapist could give you a hug, or that your massage therapist would talk with you?

*Are you dealing with a medical condition but afraid to "burden" your loved ones? (IMPORTANT: this is only your perception; you are LOVED and you are NOT a burden!)

*Are you coping with the loss of a loved one and struggle to reach out to your existing circle for support?

*Are you a caregiver, with no outlet for the grief and stress that goes with it?

*Are you single and navigating the waters of dating and consent in a #MeToo climate, or simply in search of intimacy building techniques for building a long term partnership?

*Maybe after a long day/week/month, you just want to melt into a comforting embrace with no pressure to talk at all.

We may have a thriving social network, but there are times and reasons why sometimes we don't get the connection we crave from our immediate circle. BUT. The great news is that you CAN create authentic connections with others when you know how to advocate for yourself and set healthy boundaries. These tools will help you to be a better partner, friend, colleague, parent or neighbor, all through becoming empowered to ask for what you want and say "no" to what you don't; that's where I come in!

I have been certified by Cuddlist, an internationally recognized industry leader, and offer Platonic Touch sessions in 1-hour increments. With over 250 hours of experience, I provide a sanctuary for clients to unplug from and vent the stressors of life without the pressure of reciprocity or expectations, and free from judgement or unsolicited advice. If interested, I also offer gentle coaching to enhance your personal relationships. I promise a safe space to gain confidence in advocating for yourself.

You are so busy taking care of everyone around you; who is taking care of YOU?

*For outcalls, additional fee of $40/travel hour applies.
